Yesterday’s Fish Gone, 4 bass, blues
After yesterday’s amazing “fall blitz” I was surprised to see all those fish gone today. It was very slow out there but still beautiful. No bass were in my usual spots so we ran to the power plant in search of blues. We found a decent school but they stayed inside the middle of the security area and we could not get to them. So, we waited it out and eventually, a few fish came close enough to cast to. WHAM!!! They slammed our topwater poppers and rangers and it was game on! An absolute blast on light tackle gear.
Later in the morning, we ran back inside the bay and hit several more of my spots for bass. Zip. Nobody home. Then, on the way in, we found a small pod of bass in two feet of water chasing bait. We landed four fish before they dissapeared.
