“Push Always”
Today it is blowing a gale out of the NE with torrential rains pounding you sideways. I passed two fishermen on a bridge fishing like it’s a sunny day; I passed a half-dozen clammers out on the flats digging clams like it’s a sunny day; I passed an old man on a bike peddling against wind and rain like it’s a sunny day; and I passed a woman going for her run on the beach, soaked to the bone, fighting against the winds and rain, like it’s a sunny day. And I remembered an old deer hunter in a wheel chair that had just shot a deer. If memory serves me right, I believe he was one-hundred-one years old. I will never forget his words: “Push always.” I tip my hat to everyone who is pushing hard today – Capt. Dave, BAYMEN, baymenlife.com
