Fish Gone, Winds Brutal
On the bay with clients at sunrise today. Shortly thereafter, WNW winds kicked up to a solid 20+ and white-capped and never let up. NOAA called for 12 knots W this morning, which is a nice wind and typically great fishing. But it was way beyond 12 knots and getting worse. I finally called the trip after 3 hours and 5 fish – the only 5 fish in the bay. It was a ghost town out there this morning. But we gave it a great try.
Hauling the boat and watching the winds and weather for tomorrow and rest of the week. Lets hope it lays down and the bay fills back up with fish again soon…!
