12 Fish, 1 Keeper
On board today I had Billy Tedeschi for live bait striped bass fishing.
At first light, it was COLD and the bay was flat. We ran out front and jigged up a bunch of macks. Back inside we started to live line them around different spots in the bay. Not a lot of bass around. We had a bunch of runs and landed about a dozen fish total. Some small bass played around with the macks and a couple of good blow ups on the surface kept things exciting.
The winds kicked up out of the South for a time and then layed down again. We anchored in a few holes and also drifted over some places and got runs of small bass in just about all our spots. One of our last spots of the morning gave us a good run on a decent fish that taped out at 31″‘ inches, 13 pounds.
Total catch and release today, about a dozen or so fish. It was slow but a lovely morning and very enjoyable fishing.
