Foul Weather
Nor’east today as I sit on the beach and watch the sea in a tizzy, rising and creeping towards the beach road. My guess with another half-hour to go, it could roll over in a few spots and empty into the bay on the other side. Top of the tide. No damage, but not a good day to be a plover sitting on your nest at the edge of the dunes.
Big fish continue to be stacked up East and South of us. Samll fish continue to be stacked in our bay. But after today’s storm, anything is possible. Maybe all this East will push bait and big fish our way. In any event, it has been a very wet, cold start to the striped bass season, more like fall weather. But like a lady on a horse told me, “I’ll take this over drought any day.”
