Meet My Clients
I have guided thousands of anglers over the last twenty-seven years to striped bass with fly and light tackle gear, on the MA coast. I’d like to introduce you to a few of them.
Lt. Col. Richard “The Machine” Comstock and I, have been fishing together for 20 years. Richard has fly fished all over the world. He loves to fly fish for striped bass and holds the record for Baymen Charters for most striped bass caught and released in one morning on the fly for a solo angler: 100 fish on September 21, 2019.
Baymen Dick Bowman has been fishing with me for at least 14 years. We met when he worked for Bass Pro Shops in Foxboro, MA, and I was a guest speaker and vendor. We have caught a lot of fish together over the years on fly and light tackle.
Rolando and I have been fishing together for 11+ years. He is both a fly angler and light tackle angler and is one of the best all-around anglers I have ever fished with. He has fished around the country and loves to fish for striped bass.
Al Uhler has been fishing with me for 15 years or more. On September 13, 2017, Al and his crew (Ted Healey and Jeff Hardenstine) set the All-Time Baymen Charters record for most striped bass ever caught and released on my boat in one morning: 402! That record will most likely never be broken. The school of striped bass was one mile long X one-half mile wide and the top water blitz went on for hours and hours and was still going on when we left.
Tom Bullock, retired CEO of Ocean Spray, is my longest standing client, having fished with me for twenty-seven seasons! I have had all his family, relatives and friends on board with him at one time or another through the years. Thanks, Tom, for helping me to launch my career as a Charter Captain and guide 27 years ago. It is because of clients and friends like you that this journey has been so pleasurable.
Frank Harrington (Ret.) and his boys, Greg, Brian, and Frank Jr., started fishing with me six or seven years ago, and they have been regulars ever since, fishing with me many days throughout the seasons. They have had many memorable days in the past six seasons, holding many records, including June 8, 2016 when they caught and released 201 striped bass on light tackle, and September 9, 2019 when they boated and released 273 striped bass on light tackle (all single hook catches, Baymen Jigs and Rubber Cranks). Frank and his boys are top light tackle anglers and Frank is also a skilled fly rodder who fishes for salmon on the famed Miramiche.
Sincerely,
Capt. David Bitters, F/V BAYMEN, www.baymenlife.com
