LATEST News/Open Dates 2019
Greetings fellow Baymen,
Happy October! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are basking in the refreshing change of season.
First up, I am still available for late season striped bass charters on the bay. Currently, I am mending a pulled-out back and slightly dislocated left shoulder that occurred on the last trip fishing in nasty seas. The things we do for striped bass! A few more trips to the chiropractor and I should be good to go. So, I will be guiding right up to the end of October for fly and light tackle striped bass…
Second, this morning I watched two schools of fish from the beach at sunrise. A school of bass about 150 yards long were working under birds at the Powder Point Bridge in nasty white-capped seas. There was also a school of bass along the beach road very tight to shore as you headed towards Gurnet. If my back and shoulder were not hurting, I would of been on those fish in a second! Keep an eye out and watch the bay and beaches in October…
Third, My JEEP is for sale and I have dropped the price from $12,500 to $11,300. 80K miles, excellent condition, in the Duxbury Clipper this week. No takers yet because it has no AC and is a manual stick shift 6 speed – no good in Boston traffic. But if you are looking for a sweet runabout, this is a steal. Spec it out, bluebook it, and you will see it is way under priced for a quick sale. Give me a buzz if you need a great stick shift Jeep with lots of extras.
Fourth, Open Dates 2019: I am 40% booked for next season. That leaves 60% of my dates still available as of today. Typically, I am close to booked up for the season by Christmas or New Year’s. Don’t wait if you want to fish with me in 2019. Prime dates always go first. Call or e-mail me today for a list of open dates. 50% deposit required to book and hold any dates.
Lastly, if you love to hunt the uplands and have your own dog(s), book a grouse and woodcock hunt with me this fall. Excellent “Burton Spiller” and “Corey Ford” covers just like the old days. Plenty of birds, great lodging, great food. Call or e-mail for open dates. Hunt with me once, and I guarantee you will become a regular. We have a lot fun hiking and hunting the uplands. And you might even see a moose!
That’s the word for today. Great fishing and happy hunting o all. I have the best customers on earth. Thanks to everyone that fishes or hunts with me. I can’t wait for our next adventure! And if you are looking for a fishing or hunting guide, please shoot me an e-mail or give me a call.
Tight Lines.
Sincerely,
Capt. Dave, BAYMEN www.baymenlife.com
