Greetings! Just wrapped up my grouse and woodcock season in the north country.

Resident woodcock were through the roof and it was so much fun. Grouse numbers are down for sure, compared to 2015-2016 when they were at an all-time high in my covers. That is to be expected as grouse have been running in 7-11 cycles for centuries for a whole host of reasons.

If you are a bird hunter, I hope you got into some great hunting. If you are a striped bass angler and still fishing, I hope you have found the mother-load of migrating fish! And if you are a trout fly fisherman – we’ve got to talk about getting you into fish on the White River Trout Camp 2022! Gorgeous 57 mile stretch of water that is a fly fisherman’s dream…
