54 Fish
On board today, I had regulars, Scott Chatlin and Chris Barry, for light tackle striped bass.
Lots of fish inside and a decent amount of bird activity. The bass continue to feed on 3″ peanut bunker and are very selective and fast moving. Very few keepers inside this season, even with tons of bait.
We fished topwater off and on all morning and then fished some structure and a couple rips. We found fish in all my spots. Two year old schoolies to bass just short of keepers. They hit our light tackle as long as we were on the X where they were chasing the peanut bunker.
No seals, no sign GW. Flat calm all morning under overcast skies. Water temps 64 degrees to 69 degrees on the dropping tide. Total catch and release today was 54 striped bass. No sign of blues inside.
