50 Fish, 2 Keepers
On board today, I had Luke & Juliana for light tackle striped bass.
At first light, on the -1.3 low incoming, bass and bait poured into the bay. We jumped on those fish and it was still going when we came back in, although starting to slow down. We also fished several structure spots and found a couple of small fish there. But the best fishing was in the deeper waters of 15-30 fow. Lots of bait was the ticket. Water temps were 66 degrees. Pogies are scattered around the bay and also out front. No big fish on them from what we saw.
A lovely, flat-calm July morning. Total catch and release was 50 fish, 2 keepers.
Back at it. Stay posted:
