29 Fish, 1 Keeper – Again!
Same tally as yesterday, but yesterday’s fish have left the bay.
On board this morning I had regular client, Billy Tedeschi and his friend, Bill Brett, who has fished with us before, for light tackle striped bass.
We got a very early start today to meet the fish before first light. One problem: the fish never showed up! All the fall run bass we have been into the past two days have left the bay. Today was a totally different day, fishing all new spots to get our fish.
Small pods of schooled bass were around but we had to cover some water to find them. Most of the blow-ups lasted only for a few casts and then the fish went down or moved out. But we kept at it and fished Duxbury, Plymouth and Kingston bays and got our fish. Billy landed a keeper on his trademark Yo-Zuri popper. That lure was the tackle of choice today and the bass slammed it.
SW all morning up and down and finally kicked up pretty good as we headed in. Total catch: 29 fish, 1 keeper. Same as yesterday. I think I’m on to something.
Back at it. Stay posted:
