Trout Bite Continues To Be Great!
The April trout bite continues to be great! Both fly and light tackle gear is working well. For flies, we are doing good with Adams for topwater, and black wooly buggers with a bead head for nymphs. I am also having decent success with a pheasant tail.
Baymen Bill Moe, landed his biggest trout to date, a huge brown, on light tackle. That fish hit an Al’s Goldfish. My standard spoon, a Thompson Buyant in Red/Gold is also producing well for LT.
If you need tackle this season, check out MGC Bait & Tackle on Rte 53 in Pembroke. The shop is stacked with all the top fresh and salwater gear for our local waters.
Still waiting to get out first striped bass. The Terns should be showing any day. The Herring runs continue to be stacked! Its all about to happen…!
Tight Lines!
