Today’s Fly
This is a very similar pattern to the one I tied up yesterday (see Today’s Pattern post). These patterns with the long hackles are designed to be fished slow, or to drift in the current with a slow twitch. These big, eight inch patterns, are light to cast, have great movement in the water, and truly look alive. Hopefully, they will fool a big striped bass that will take you deep into your backing.
