Been wetting a line for the last five days (shoreline) in hopes of getting my first striper of the season. Nothing yet… I did note some schools of fish offshore with birds working overhead a few days ago, but they did not stick around or come near shore. South of us in RI, the schoolies are stacking up with 50+ fish on the fly for some anglers. It won’t be long now… This weekend I expect to get reports of numerous hook-ups on our local waters.
