Greetings from Capt. Dave & Baymen Guide Service, Inc. Spring has sprung, the striped bass will be showing in our bay in two weeks, and I am starting up my Intro To Fly Fishing Classes for the 29th year…! Time sure flies.

I love helping people get into the great sport of fly fishing for striped bass on the coast. We live in a world-class fly fishing destination on Massachusetts South Shore. I have put hundreds of people through my class and introduced them to fly fishing. Many of them have become fantastic fly fishermen.

The Class: I teach an onshore, intensive, intro to fly fishing from A-Z. We cover a lot of information in the two hour class: rods, reels, lines, leaders, knots, fly patterns, beginner fly casting techniques, advanced fly casting techniques, and how to hook, fight, land and release a fish. I take two people max in my class at a time. That way I can work closely with you on all the details of casting. Fly fishing is like golf. Once you learn the basics, regular practice will improve your skills and take your game to a whole new level.
