THE MAD SCIENTIST – I am currently obsessed with tying Baymen Universals with white saddle hackle to give the fly more body and motion. And I am also tying on a heavier hook, Owner AKI SWS 3/0 5370-131, to aid in making the fly drop faster into the water column. And I have started adding a hint of yellow sandwiched between Capt. Dave’s Perfect Pink and the Honey Olive. If you Fly Fish with me this season, chances are this will be one of the fly patterns we fish. Stay Posted: I will post some pics when I get the recipe and tie perfected. The photo included are rough prototypes.

UPDATE: Here is a newer tie of my Baymen Universal. No eyes on this one. But Jungle Cock would look pretty nice to finish it off… If you fly fish with me this season, this is one of the patterns we will be throwing for striped bass on the MA coast. – Capt. Dave, BAYMEN, baymencharters@gmail.com
