HAPPY SUNDAY!
Happy Sunday, Peeps! May God bless you and your family today, and may God bless out great country!
Hard to believe old man winter is beginning to breathe his last in BAYMEN Land. Up north near Tranquillity, there is still four feet of packed snow in the woods in some places. Here on the MA coast, we have not had any plowable snow all season. In fact, no snow to speak of other than 1-2 inches of the stuff. No complaints from Capt. Dave. If I want snow, all I got to do is point my boat north and and starting motoring!
STRIPED BASS CHARTERS – Open Dates: I have a few dates left for August and September. I MAY be able to squeeze in one or two more trips for the Spring Blitz. I have a wonderful mix of light tackle and fly anglers on the books this season. I would love to add a few more. Shoot me an e-mail or give me a call and let’s get a trip on the books and give you a wonderful day on our bay on the MA coast.
SPRING TURKEY – I can take ONE more turkey hunt for early May. This trip is 2 nights, 3 days, all meals, lodging and guiding for one or two hunters max. Shoot me an e-mail or give me a buzz.
DAILY LIFE – Things continue to be crazy busy this winter as I help my son get recruited into NCAA basketball. So competitive and a lot of politics involved, regardless of your stats, skill, talent, and IQ. It continues to be quite the ride and we are having a lot of fun and getting quite the education in how to get recruited! My son has played ball with some of the top D1 teams around the country and for many top D1 coaches and is having the time of his life! One word of advice IF your rising star has GOT IT: Get him or her into a top prep school all four years ($$$$$) or at least the last two. It will open doors to recruitment that are very hard to open on your own without it to a top D1 program at a top college.
My oldest just got accepted into Grad School, but at a price tag of 72K (yes, $72,000 dollars), I am not able to send her. So, she is going into the workforce and is looking for full-time work in the communications field. She is a Dean’ List student and can handle anything you put on her plate. Killer resume, lots of internships and real-life experience and travel. Please pass the word if your company is looking for a top candidate.
FLY TYING, GEAR PREPPING, MERCHANT MARINER TRAINING, TRAVEL… It is all part of this winter’s Baymen Life, along with taking care of Mom who will turn 93 this year and still living on her own and shopping and talking long walks and going to church and exercise classes. I hope I got her genes!
Wishing you all a great rest of winter and let’s fish together this season!
Tight Lines – winter is almost over.
Sincerely, Capt. Dave, BAYMEN www.baymenlife.com
