HAPPY NOVEMBER!
Greetings from Capt. Dave in Baymen Land…!
Wow – October was one busy month of guiding. Fish stayed in our bay a little longer (October 12th) and grouse and woodcock were thick up north. Duck season opened and so did bow season for deer. I was traveling back and forth from Baymen Land south to Baymen Land north to guide and it was non-stop. But so very enjoyable! Thanks to everyone that fished and/or hunted with me in October. It was just awesome… The woods, the foliage, the mountains, the sea… And the wildlife and game were abundant.
Today is November 1st. Hard to believe. This month is more of the same, minus the striped bass fishing, that has moved south as the Fall Run continues through RI, CT, NJ, NY, MD. ..Best of luck to all those following the fish or waiting their arrival. If you don’t fly fish for them, you are missing out on one of life’s most enjoyable sports! But it’s all good no matter how you love to fish.
I will post a full report soon on Grouse and Woodcock guiding up north, and a full report on the striped bass season that has just ended in our local waters. Rifle season starts soon back up north and several friends are joining me to try and fill the freezer with the best meat on earth. Between now and then, I have some puddle duck hunts to attend, a few more grouse & woodcock hunts, and then my kids will be arriving home from college for Thanksgiving. Never a dull moment in a very busy life in Baymen Land. And I thank God for it all every single day!
Stay Posted and Happy November.
Sincerely,
Capt. Dave, BAYMEN, www.baymenlife.com
