We are getting some better tides this week for clamming. Not the low – 1.4 tides, but low enough that I have been able to get into some of my spots.
Hardshells were thick in some of my spots and other spots were dead. Raked forever for a half-dozen hardshells. Then moved on to a new area and found what I was looking for! The lesson? Just like fishing, if you are not finding them in one spot, just keep moving. You will find in another spot if you put the time in.
I am running clam trips on a limited basis. If you want to go, shoot me an e-mail for open dates and let’s get you a bucket of hardshells while taking in the glorious sights and smells of the bay.
