FISH SHOWING!
The season is underway with LOTS of fat schoolie striped bass moving up the coast. As of today, fish are being reported in big schools from Buzzards Bay to Boston Harbor. Locally, we have had fish on the incoming tides with some decent blitz action. So, the fish are “early” by about a week with warmer water temps than normal due to a very mild winter in BAYMEN Land…
Gov. Baker still has charters banned until May 18th then he will review the situation. I am still trying to work through all the issue of chartering up to four people a day on an open boat, from all over the country. Masks, 24 hour testing certificates, face shields, medical history, and a lot of other things being looked at. Ugh! But we will see how it all shakes out and will keep you all posted with updates. Things are changing by the day.
In the meantime, Gov Baker has given thumbs up to family members that live together, to fish together. So, I will be posting BAYMEN Fishing Reports starting next week in earnest. STAY POSTED.
Tight Lines,
Capt. David Bitters, F/V BAYMEN, www.baymenlife.com
