BAYMEN Land In January
Greetings from Capt. Dave & Baymen Guide Service, Inc.
What a beautiful, stunning, mild winter we have had so far this season! Almost not snow in Baymen Land on the MA coast, and temps have been very comfortable with many mild, windless days. Today is one such day. The bay and ocean is near calm, the sun is shining bright, and life is good. I thank God.
I am tying saltwater striped bass patterns (Baymen Universal with white saddle hackle tails) like a mad-man, and I am getting ready to repower the Baymen Skiff for the upcoming season. Bye-bye Merc, helloooooooooo Yamaha! Will post pics/updates when the BAYMEN is ready to roll.
Here are a few pics from this morning just to give you an idea of how nice it is in Baymen Land this winter. Feb/Mar can be brutal, and probably will be, but we New Englanders have been taking it all in stride since 1620.
One last note: An osprey flew over the house January 28th (!). A very, very early sighting and with open water in fresh and salt, there must be plenty of fish around to feed on… And tons of coyotes cutting through our yard every night!
