Greetings from Capt. Dave & BAYMEN!

What a glorious July it has been and I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer on and off the water.

Great News: I am anticipating getting the “all clear” from my Doctors regarding my rotator cuff and ACL injury and hope to be back on the water August 11th, full-throttle, right into October – just in time for the Fall Run!

It has been a trying time getting two serious injuries right when the 2026 charter season was taking off. My clients have been unbelievable. EVERYONE on the roster graciously floated their booked trips with me until I get well! I just can’t thank you all enough. God has blessed me with the best clients on earth! I will be reaching out to all of you soon to get you all rescheduled for this season or an upcoming season.

To be truthful, I have been climbing the walls. PT is painful but the only road I am taking to getting well. Outside of PT, I have not been able to do much, physically. But I am not one to rest my mind and body so have been doing walks and today, for the first time, I was able to get on the bike! It was painful LOL… But it is another step to building back muscle in my shoulder and knee.

Lastly, with all the time on my hands, I have been working on another project that I will be sharing with you all soon. Details to follow within the next couple of weeks.

OK – one last thing! There is a NEW Captain in town: Capt. Brian Kelly of Rocks Pebbles Sands Fishing. This young man has been watching me for years and following my lead on the bays, here and on the Cape. This guide is TOP NOTCH and I have started sending all my overflow charters to him. He is a carbon copy of me and he is now surpassing me and is a true BAYMEN. If you are looking for a top fly fishing or light tackle guide, check him out on social media and book a trip.
