50 Fish, 1 Keepah
Got the season off to a great start today with repeat client, Pete Gaudette.
On the bay at first light in rain and heavy overcast. The fish I found last night were still there today and we pulled right into them and started hooking up.
The bass were rolling on the surface and birds were working overhead. The bait was a very tiny micro minnow that was hard to see. We had luck with rubber crank baits in 3″ and 4″ inch. Pearl colors seemed to work best under the dark skies.
Total catch and release today was a whopping 50 fish with one keeper that taped out to 29.5 fat inches.
NE winds and rain return tomorrow. We are staying in port.
STAY POSED:
