94 Fish
On board today, I had regulars, Chris & Molly DeVillers for light tackle striped bass.
An amazing morning with tons of small fish in the bay from 8″ inches to 27″ inches. We had topwater fish, structure fish and a handful of birds to help us located the sporadic schools of striped bass. Fish were concentrated on bait and they were acting like albies as in the past few days: fast moving, up and down, here and then there in seconds. We worked to set drifts and tried to stayed on the fish and landed fish on every single drift. Not a drift without a fish.
Foggy and low pressure south wind gave way to high pressure and sunnty, hot and humid conditions. When we left, there was still a lot of fish coming in on the rising tide. Total catch and release today was a whopping 94 fish all on light tackle for two rods. Pretty amazing.
