14 Flushes
Another wonderful day in the woods and mountains of northern New England, hunting grouse and woodcock with Dr. Damian Folchs, and his dogs Aggie and Belle.
We moved a total of 13 grouse and woodcock for the day and I also flushed one woodcock at first light as I stepped out my front door. All native birds and no migrants in the covers as of today.
The autumn woods in New England are awe inspiring and so stunning it takes your breath away. It is one thing to drive past it, but a total difference experience to be walking in it. Especially behind two fine bird dogs and a crack shot with a fine double.
I thank God every day for letting me live a life outdoors and giving me the finest clients and friends on earth to share it with.
