Hammered By The Blizzard!
Greetings from Capt. Dave & BAYMEN!
Quick update post BLIZZARD – We got hammered…
The house and boats and gear are all fine, thank God. Snow is insanely deep for MA coast. Drifts up to six feet and three feet on the level in many, many places. We have been shoveling out, snow plowing, and just trying to make places to park and walk. I had a crew up on the roof shoveling off several feet of snow, another crew on the ground shoveling paths, and a plow trying to plow the driveway best he could. I can not thank you all enough for coming to my aid! You guys are lifesavers. THANK YOU! To put everything into perspective, in my lifetime this storm ranks in the top three of all snow storms. To my friends without power, hang in there. It’s coming.
I was saying to the Admiral, I am amazed at the resiliency and toughness of New Englanders, and our ability to dig our heals in and get back up on our feet in short order. Nothing holds us down for very long and when we come back, we come back with fire and full force to get the job done. It is true what they say: New Englanders are a tough, rugged breed, especially those of us who’s family lines go back for generations.
Keep the faith and keep digging. Warm temps with us now for a week. Snow will be gone by Spring and the 2026 blizzard will soon be a distant memory.
Talk soon.
Capt. Dave, BAYMEN, baymenlife.com Soli Deo Gloria!
