Capt. Brian Kelly Crushing Hardtails
Greetings from Capt. Dave & BAYMEN!
I hope everyone’s Fall Run striped bass fishing is going well. Two other Fall Run fish everyone looks forward to south of us are Albies (False Albacore) and Bonito! These fish on the Fly or LT are some of the finest Fall Run fishing you will ever enjoy.
Capt. Brian Kelly has been crushing it on Fly & Light Tackle Hardtails! He does not work for me or Baymen Guide Service, Inc. but he is a Captain I greatly admire and refer to my clients. I don’t chase hardtails as part of Baymen Guide Service but Capt. Brian chases them with a passion in the Fall Run. Give him a shout for open dates if you want to go. He will put you on the fish! www.rpsfish.com
In other news, I saw a MASSIVE striped bass blitz on the bay yesterday with maybe 1,000 birds working topwater over the fish. Quite a sight and how I wish I could be out there with you all. I am still in PT for torn RC and making amazing progress and avoiding surgery. But it is unfortunately a long-term recover and if I screw it uo, the surgeon awaits…
I wish you all a fantastic Part II of the Fall Run as October is in our sights. Fishing will continue in our bay as late as Halloween. And I often tell the story of “Mr. Duxbury” Billy Bennett, who caught both a striped bass and bluefish, both keepers, off Gurnet on Thanksgiving day many years back. You never know when late fish will show on their way south.
Tight Lines and shoot me an e-mail and tell me how you are doing out there. It has been a tough second half of the season not being able guide my clients. Great fishing to all!
Sincerely,
Capt. David Bitters, BAYMEN, baymenlife.com 32 Years Guiding The Bay. Still In Love. Soli Deo Gloria!
